Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about using Handio
For Customers
Q:How does Handio work?
Take a photo of your problem, and our AI will understand what needs fixing. We'll broadcast your request to nearby available handymen. The first to accept will arrive and fix it. You can track them in real-time like Uber.
Q:How much does Handio cost?
Handio is completely free for customers. You only pay the handyman directly for their work. There are no platform fees, subscription costs, or hidden charges.
Q:How quickly can I get help?
Most requests are accepted within minutes. The handyman will arrive based on their distance from you—typically within 30-60 minutes for urgent jobs.
Q:Can I choose my handyman?
In our MVP, the first available handyman to accept gets the job. This ensures the fastest response time for urgent repairs. Future versions will offer more selection options.
Q:What if I'm not satisfied with the work?
You can leave an honest review and rating after each job. If there's a serious issue, contact our support team and we'll help resolve it. Reviews help maintain quality across our network.
Q:How do I pay the handyman?
You pay the handyman directly after they complete the work. We don't handle payments in our MVP—it's between you and the handyman. Future versions may include integrated payment options.

You get paid directly by the customer after completing the job. Handio doesn't handle payments or take any commission. You keep 100% of what you earn from customers.
Q:Can I choose which jobs to accept?
Yes! You'll receive alerts for jobs near you, and you can choose to accept or pass on each one. There's no penalty for declining jobs.
Q:How do I get more jobs?
Build your reputation by completing jobs well and earning five-star reviews. Higher-rated handymen are shown more prominently to customers. Also, being online during peak hours (evenings and weekends) increases your opportunities.
