This AUP describes prohibited activities and content when using our handyman marketplace platform.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree not to misuse the Service or assist others in doing so. The examples below are illustrative and non-exhaustive. We may determine in our reasonable discretion whether any particular use violates this AUP.
2. Abusing or Disrupting the Service
You must not abuse, interfere with, or disrupt the Service, including by:

- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service, accounts, systems, or networks connected to the Service, including by hacking, password mining, credential stuffing, or other illegitimate means.
- Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of the Service or any system or network connected to the Service without our prior written authorization (including penetration testing or automated security scanning).
- Taking any action that, in our reasonable judgment, imposes or may impose an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure or that of our providers, including denial-of-service attacks, brute force attempts, or abusive automated usage.
- Uploading or transmitting viruses, worms, ransomware, malware, time bombs, Trojan horses, or other malicious code, scripts, or programs.
- Using any device, software, or process to interfere with or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the Service or with any other person's use of the Service.
3. Spamming and Phishing
- You must not use the Service to send spam, bulk or unsolicited communications, or any communications that violate CAN-SPAM or similar laws, including emails to recipients who have not provided the necessary consent.
- You must not send altered, deceptive, or false source-identifying information, including misleading or inaccurate names, email addresses, subject lines, or routing information, or engage in phishing or spoofing.
4. Deceptive Practices and Impersonating Others
- You must not reverse look-up or attempt to trace information about any other user or end user for malicious, abusive, or deceptive purposes.
- You must not impersonate any person or entity, misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity, conduct fraud, or hide or attempt to hide your identity when using the Service.
5. Restricted Activities and Services
- You must not use the Service to offer, request, or facilitate services that are hazardous, fraudulent, abusive, or otherwise illegal under applicable law, including but not limited to unlicensed professional services requiring specific certifications or permits.
- You must not use the Service to request or perform work that poses unreasonable safety risks or that you are not qualified or licensed to perform. Handymen must only accept jobs within their area of expertise and comply with all applicable licensing requirements.
6. Harmful or Illegal Content
- You must not post or generate content that harasses, bullies, defames, or threatens a specific individual, or incites others to do so.
- You must not post or generate content that creates or may create a risk of harm, loss, damage, physical or mental injury, emotional distress, death, disability, disfigurement, or physical or mental illness to any person, group, animal, or property.
- You must not post or generate content that encourages, glorifies, incites, or calls for violence or physical harm against an individual or group, or that promotes or justifies hatred or discrimination.

- You must not use the Service in any manner that could constitute or contribute to a crime, tort, or other unlawful act.
7. Sexually Explicit Content; Misinformation
- You must not post or generate sexually explicit or obscene content, including adult content that depicts or describes sexual activities or graphic nudity. We may, in our sole discretion, allow limited content that is primarily educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic.
- You must not post or generate content that disseminates harmful misinformation or materially misleading content that may create a risk of serious harm, including content that interferes with elections or civic processes, promotes dangerous medical practices or substances, or contradicts guidance from relevant public health authorities in ways likely to cause harm.
8. Intellectual Property
- You must not upload, post, or generate content that infringes or misappropriates any third party's intellectual property or proprietary rights, including copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, rights of publicity, or privacy rights.
- You must not use images, names, or likenesses of third parties (including public figures) in connection with products or services without the necessary rights or permissions.

11. Enforcement and Brand Matters
If we conclude, in our discretion, that you have violated this AUP, we may remove content, suspend or terminate your account or access to the Service, limit features, or take any other action we deem appropriate under the circumstances. We may also preserve and disclose information as required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Handio, our users, or the public.
Without limiting any other term of the Agreement, we may suspend or terminate your access to the Service upon notice if we determine that your use of the Service presents a significant brand, legal, regulatory, or security risk to Handio (a Brand Matter). Our determination of whether a violation or Brand Matter has occurred will be final and within our sole discretion.
12. Reporting Security Issues
If you discover a potential security vulnerability or issue affecting the Service, please use the 'Report security issue' option on our contact form. Do not publicly disclose the issue until we have had a reasonable opportunity to investigate and remediate it.
